Learn about the Neuroscience Program at Medical City Children’s Hospital, one of the leading Texas children's hospitals.
 An International Reputation for Innovation

The Neuroscience Program at Medical City Children's Hospital cares for children with brain and spinal cord disorders, as well as adults with congenital conditions. The program has earned an international reputation for using innovative neurological and neurosurgical techniques to treat conditions including epilepsy, hydrocephalus, tethered cord syndrome, brain and spinal tumors, and spina bifida. Our goal is to assure as normal a life as possible for our patients.

The Pediatric Neurosurgery Center offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for cranial and spinal cord disorders. The Medical City Children’s Hospital Center for Epilepsy, a member of the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, employs advanced diagnostic, pharmacological and surgical options to treat patients with uncontrolled seizures and complex neurological disorders.

Our Sleep Center is the only one in Dallas both accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and specializing in care for both children and adults. We don’t only study and diagnose problems such as sleep apnea—we also determine and administer the appropriate treatment, including surgery.

The Neuroscience Program also provides perinatal consultation services for families with pregnancies in which central nervous system congenital anomalies such as spina bifida and hydrocephalus have been diagnosed. Medical City and Medical City Children’s Hospital provide the only place in North Texas that can support both the mother’s care during birth and surgery for fetal anomalies.
