The pediatric nephrology team at Medical City Children’s Hospital provides specialized care for children with kidney disease. By not only delivering innovative treatment but also educating patients and families about kidney disorders, we empower families, optimize care and improve outcomes.

Our highly experienced, board-certified pediatric nephrologists provide 24-hour-a-day coverage. Consequently, they can respond rapidly and be available for parents as needed. Children will interact with a nephrologist and a nephrology nurse coordinator every day.

Furthermore, Medical City Children’s Hospital nephrologists communicate regularly and on a timely basis with each child’s primary care physician.

To help expectant parents, Medical City Children’s Hospital offers prenatal counseling and testing for congenital kidney abnormalities. Medical City is also the only hospital in North Texas where a newborn with a kidney disease can be treated in the same facility in which the mother is being cared for.
