Our interventional cardiologists deliver state-of-the-art care so that some congenital defects can be repaired without surgery. Our board-certified physicians also specialize in all of the very latest minimally invasive procedures.

To determine the best treatment options, we utilize a full array of other innovative diagnostic techniques, including fetal echocardiography, cardiovascular MRI and 3-D CT scanning. The pediatric echo lab at Medical City Children's Hospital utilizes state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment to visualize the beating heart in real time. Advanced technologies such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), Intra-cavitary Echocardiography (ICE) and real-time pediatric 3-D echocardiography help us evaluate patients with complex congenital heart disease. All studies are performed by experienced sonographers who are registered in the field of Pediatric Echocardiography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
