Because you want to spend as much time near your child as possible, Medical City Children’s Hospital has a wide variety of services, dining and shopping options onsite. Use the facility map to help you find the services described below when you’re at the hospital.

Visitors Center
The Visitors Center, located in the atrium of Building A, can provide a welcome respite for visitors. Feel free to visit us for information on the hospital, Dallas area and common health conditions. Copier and fax machines are also available.

Pastoral Care
A time of illness can be very trying for family members and friends. For your comfort, the chapel, located in the atrium of Building A, is open to every denomination at all times. Staff chaplains are available 24 hours a day. If you would like a chaplain to visit with you, please tell the nurse or call the operator.

Social Services
Patients and families sometimes require special needs while in the hospital and when planning to return home. Our licensed social workers and case managers provide a variety of services to assist patients, their families and friends. These services include the following:

• Psychosocial assessments
• Community resources
• Supportive services
• Counseling
• Discharge planning
• Crisis intervention
• Information and referrals
• Patient advocacy

Travel Services
If you are visiting from out of town, our Travel Services program can help you make travel arrangements. We have special arrangements with several area hotels to provide discount rates for the families of patients.

Atrium Shops and Services
In addition to restaurants, we have gift shops, a hair salon, bank, pharmacies, post office and more—all onsite. See the facility map for a complete list.

Computer and Internet Access
Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the facility for our patients and their families. Additionally, computers with Internet access are available for use in Guest Services (Building A atrium, 1st floor) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Loan Beeper Service
Visitors with a critically ill family member or a child in pediatrics may check out one of our beepers. These keep you in touch with the hospital when you need to run errands or even go home for a short time. To request a beeper, please contact Security at 972-566-4800. A refundable deposit fee of $20.00 is required for this service.

Lost and Found
Lost and found is located in the Security Office, Building B, Suite 203. You can contact Security at 972-566-4800.

Smoking
The hospital is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is allowed in the outdoor courtyard between Buildings A and B and in the Visitor Parking Garage.
